skills necessary to perform a variety of physical activities;

Does participate
regularly in physical activity;

PARTICIPATION POLICY
All students are
expected to attend physical education class, prepared to participate. This
includes appropriate dress and footwear for physical activity:
·
Socks and non-marking rubber
soled sneakers*
(Students are not
required to change their clothes for class.) However if a dress is being
worn on P.E. day then it is appropriate to wear shorts under the dress
during class.
*Footwear such as
sports sandals, hiking boots or athletic looking shoes with raised heels or
lifts, open toes or open heels are unacceptable and /or unsafe.
Students may be excused from participation by either
their parents or a doctor. A note must accompany that student explaining
the reason for not participating. If a doctor determines a student is
unable to participate in physical education classes, that student may not
return to participation without a doctor’s release allowing them to do so.
A student who is excused from participation will be given an alternative
activity related to the lesson.
