ST. STANISLAUS TRI-PARISH SCHOOL RECYCLES ALUMINUM CANS

The Guardian Angels is sponsoring an aluminum beverage can recycling program.  This program is similar to the plastic bag-recycling program.  It’s another win-win way to earn money for our school, keep our environment clean and save our natural resources.

Here’s what to do.  Just bring your empty aluminum cans to school and deposit them in the plastic containers located near the trash dumpster behind the gym kitchen.

If the cans are crushed more will fit in the container and you can crush them on the blacktop. If you bring your cans to school in a plastic bag, put the empty bag in the plastic bag-recycling container. Empty paper bags can be placed in the cardboard recycling container.

Here are some facts:

          We earn 55 cents for every pound of cans collected.

          There are 30 cans per pound.

          Recycled aluminum cans are back on the store shelf in 60 days.
