The Wiegand Media Center, located on the top floor of our school, is open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00-3:00, and Tuesday from 8:00-11:30.  Thanks to a grant received from the Wiegand foundation in 2002, our 6000-volume library collection has been joined by a computer lab with 15 workstations and a smartboard, transforming our school library into a true media center.

Each class visits the media center at least once a week.  During “library class” students are introduced to various authors and illustrators, genres, new books, and information literacy skills.  Students in the younger grades check out one book each week and older students may check out two books.  Students may check out additional books for “AR” and for special projects they’re working on.
