Social Studies
The 4th grade focus is on Idaho. The students will explore
Idaho's historical, economic, and geographical concepts that will expand
discussions on national topics, global issues, supply and demand, and
the role of technology. Field trips include:

The 4th grade also participates in the Idaho History Day.
This year's theme is Conflict and Compromise. Students will begin their
research in January, and the regional competition will be held March
15th at LCSC's Williams Conference Center from 8:00 - 3:30.
Science
Science standards stress the importance of using
information, analyzing data, and validating experimental results.
Relationships are investigated in interactions among microscopic
organisms found in pond water samples. Students are introduced to basic
principles of electrical currents and earth materials.
Health
The fourth grade will learn about the functions and properties of skin,
as well as chemical substances and their effect on the body; uses and
abuses of chemical substances.
