CLASSROOM RULES/EXPECTATIONS
St. Stanislaus Tri-Parish School Lewiston Idaho

                                               EXPECTATIONS OF A 3RD GRADER

The classroom rules were designed by us and the students.  We feel it is very important that the students have a "voice" and give their input into the rules of the classroom.  This helps the students feel more invested in their actions.

The three main classroom rules are:

1.  Respect Yourself and Others - Follow the Golden Rule

2.  Contribute to the Learning Environment - If you don't have anything nice or positive to say please don't say anything at all!

3.  Follow Classroom and School Procedures - the following are examples (from the students) of things you SHOULD do and things you SHOULD NOT do:

What We Should Do                                                  What We Should Not Do

Be honest                                                                      Use God's name in anger

Be fair                                                                           Be silly when the teacher is gone

Raise your hand before speaking                                    Run in the hallway

Share                                                                             Talk back

Listen                                                                             Chew gum

Respect others                                                                Talk when the teacher is talking

Do your best                                                                   Yell or fight

Be nice                                                                            Run down the steps

Come to school on time                                                   Break pencils or erasers

Be quiet in the lunch room                                               Argue or tell secrets

Have fun!

Let the teacher know when you leave the classroom!
